Loads of change: A bathroom-to-laundry transformation

You know you are an adult when having a laundry room enters your list of dreams... Imagine a functional room where doing laundry is fun! We feel that this is what we achieved in our customers' home with this bathroom into laundry room conversion. A family of 4 (soon to be 5) asked us to change their current wee bathroom into a laundry room. Having small children ourselves we know exactly how nice it is to hide all those piles of washing out of sight so we were more than happy to help. Howdens Halesworth antique rose units and solid oak worktop were the chosen design.


The works started with the removal of the wall that used to form the shower along with the sink and toilet. After some plasterboarding and joist repairs we replaced all the floorboards to make a nice and level floor, ready for the tiler. The next step was to make some mdf panelling to match the original panels, before fiting the units and worktop. To complete the look and functionality the leftover worktop was cut up to make two floating shelves.


All that is left now is a bit of plastering and painting plus the installation of the washing machine and tumble dryer. We are very pleased with the results and so are our customers.
